Dissolve the salt in the water. Boiling the water first and mixing in the salt will help the salt dissolve evenly, but remember the brining process should be done with the water cold. Place your choice of meats, poultry or seafood into the brining solution making sure to submerge everything under water. You can double up on the liquids as necessary. Brine for at least 30 mins for optimum effect.
